MISSION AND VISION

Zhezkazgan Baikonurov University is the only multidisciplinary higher education institution in Ulytau region, thus the principle part of the developed model of the university is to solve the problems of personnel training and scientific support of this region. It is also necessary to take into account that the mining industry, which is typical for the region, is a priority for the industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan.

In the region there is a shortage of highly qualified personnel in the specialties of mining, geology, energy, machinery and equipment technology, as well as lack of teachers with higher education.

     Who we are:

Zhezkazgan Baikonurov University is a dynamically developing educational, scientific and cultural center of the Ulytau region, the activity of which includes a wide range of educational and research services, developing partnerships with consumers, educational and scientific centers, providing a high level of training for graduates and competitive personnel.

     What we do:

We train specialists for work in the conditions of the information Tech Age Society, using uniform standards for the quality of education. We introduce new specialties, areas and educational programs determined by market needs, develop and introduce new technologies, forms and methods of organizing education. We are involved in coordinating the activities of the scientific and pedagogical community of universities, representatives of enterprises, institutions and organizations in ensuring the quality and development of educational content. We support and develop cooperation with government and business structures, public organizations and economic entities of various forms of ownership, with international organizations, professional and academic communities. We participate in the consolidation of efforts of higher education institutions, of the state and society in the development of a common information space.

     Our purpose:

To provide conditions for the dynamic development of Zhezkazgan Baikonurov University as a multidiscipline university and a basic center for training teachers, engineers in Ulytau region, which could effectively contribute to solving the problems of personnel training, scientific, methodological and information technology support of the innovative development of the national education system, promotion of successful implementation of the strategic state plans in the field of education and social and youth policy.
